Hunting Lodge Outdoor Packages

The Grand Lodge affords you an opportunity to enjoy an authentic, outdoor experience in the Lake Oahe Region of South Dakota. The location of your remarkable pursuits are situated in open farm country in the heart of some of the best pheasant, dove, whitetail and coyote habitat in the entire state. The grandeur and spectacle of the pristine prairie atmosphere is unforgettable.

Hunting

Dove – opens on Sept 1st. Can harvest 15 a day / hunter. Strong through October. Pheasants – opens here on Sept 1st. Can harvest 5 a day / hunter. Strong through Dec. Deer – over the counter archery for non-residents. About Sept 25th through mid January. Waterfowl – over the counter for non-residents. Best on the Missouri after Christmas. Grouse/Chicken – opens around the 15th of Sept. Excellent from opener until pheasants open. Coyotes – year–round. Best on our land from Christmas through April. Prairie Dogs – year–round. Very good 8 miles South of the lodge. Best in June and July.

Fishing

Walleye on the Missouri River, near Pierre. Open water, ice fishing and spear fishing.

Other

Horseback riding. Custom cowboy experiences. Seasonal birding. ATV Riding.

Licenses

You can purchase your pheasant licenses early over the internet at www.gfp.sd.gov or we can help you obtain them when you arrive at our Lodge. For other license considerations, please inquire.

The packages above include lodging, all meals, snacks and drinks (including top shelf liquor). Hunters are also supplied clays, ammunition, guides, dogs, and firearms if necessary. The Grand Lodge will also provide transportation to/from airports within 100 miles and process your birds for free.

Game licenses and gratuities for guides and staff are not included.
